Hetero in Art: Queer Perspectives at the Thiel Gallery

The Thiel Gallery flips perspectives and offers a tour about heterosexuality in art during Stockholm Pride. How is heterosexuality constructed? What do the ideas of a male gaze and a female gaze really mean? What are the consequences when heterosexuality is seen as a neutral starting point – in art and in life? Experience the art at the Thiel Gallery in a new way – and examine the norms with queer eyes.

The tour is conducted by Emil Åkerö, an art historian and museum educator with experience in working with issues of identity, sexuality, and gender.
