During the summer months, many fun and exciting events takes place here at Royal Djurg\u00e5rden.<\/span><\/span> How about outdoor concerts, dance nights, fairs, sporting events and new exhibitions?<\/span><\/span> There is something that suits everyone!<\/span><\/span> Below we have collected some of our best tips for great events that are currently ongoing or soon to come.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

May 20 – September 14 – Beer festival at Museum of spirits\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>
\nIn collaboration with Swedish Independent Breweries, the Museum of Sprits presents “Sweden’s longest beer festival”. There you can experience exclusive and exciting local flavors from over 50 Swedish breweries. The festival is a way to celebrate and support independent breweries around the country.<\/p>\n

Park tours at Rosendal Palace
\n<\/strong>During the summer, 200 years of royal history will be celebrated at Rosendal Palace. Join park tours about the extensive work to restore the historic park. The park tours are given Wednesdays at 16:30 throughout the summer, on different themes, and are held by participants in the project; the archaeologists, the building antiquarian, the landscape architect, the park manager and the gardeners.<\/p>\n

Guided tours in the Sculpture Park<\/strong><\/a>
\nEvery day this summer you can join guided tours of the sculptures in the Princess Estelle Sculpture Park at 1 pm. The tour is free of charge and held in Swedish or English. Starting point will be at PREKS information kiosk. Find out more here.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Pippi at Cirkus<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Dancing poodles, human cannonballs, and a colourful orchestra. A grumpy circus director and the strongest girl in the world. Pippi at the Circus is a goodie bag with everything that is fun. Based on Astrid Lindgren\u2019s classic story, Bj\u00f6rn Ulvaeus, Maria Blom, Tilde Bj\u00f6rfors, and Cirkus Cirk\u00f6r (to mention a few), have created an extraordinary show \u2013 a sparkling circus musical for all children between 3 and 113 years old.<\/p>\n

July- August\u00a0Summer at the Museum of Ethnography<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Stop by and try different sports, take part in hikes or just relax in the hammocks under the green trees. For those who just want to relax and enjoy the calm of summer, there is the opportunity to try yoga and taiji. For all curious adventurers there is the opportunity to participating in lots of fun and exciting activities. Among other things, there will be the opportunity to try the Japanese martial art of aikido and take part in hikes with forest creatures, this and much more! In addition to all this, there will also be eight concerts between July and August. Stop by The Museum of Ethnography to listen to sweet melodies in the cozy summer evenings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0July 19- August 23 – Jazz at Skansen<\/a><\/strong>
\nThis year, Jazz at Skansen<\/em> will be visited by several well-reputed Swedish and international jazz musicians. <\/span><\/span>July 19th is the premiere of this year\u2019s Jazz at Skansen<\/em> from Sollidenscenen. Jazz musician Nils Landgren returns as host with Kapellmeister Hans Backenroth by his side for six evenings during july and august. The performance is included in the entrence ticket.<\/p>\n

Concert at Hasselbacken<\/a>
\n<\/strong>This summer, it’s time for Weeping Willows to take their acclaimed “The Dreams We Weave” tour further! With 8 musicians on stage \u2013 the band, Anders Kappelin (bass), Patrik Kolar (keyboards), Goran Kajfes (trumpet) and Per “Rusktr\u00e4sk” Johansson (saxophone and flute) will on August 19 offer a magnificent summer evening in Hasselbacken’s garden.<\/p>\n

August 25 – Revolver Comedy Carnival at Skansen<\/a>
\n<\/strong>During the summer, wellknown swedish comedians Henrik Nyblom, Petrina \"\"Solange and Magnus Betn\u00e9r will offer a colorful stand up experience in 17 cities with a grand finale on the Solliden stage! By their side, the trio has a bunch of hand-picked comedians during the tour and during the final night they have none other than Henrik Schyffert, Nisse Hallberg and Messiah Hallberg.<\/p>\n

August 31- Baltic Sea Day<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Baltic Sea Day is an annual celebration that aims to celebrate the sea and highlight its diverse nature, culture and history. The day is celebrated annually on the last Thursday in August. Here at Djurg\u00e5rden, the day will be celebrated at the Maritime Museum, Skansen and at Museum of Wrecks. Take part in a themed exhibition or listen to lectures by some of Sweden’s leading experts. All of this and a lot more here at Djurg\u00e5rden August 31!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

August 31-September 1 – The Dragonboat tournament!<\/a>
\n<\/strong>The basic idea of Drakb\u00e5tskampen<\/em> is to offer a fun event, where companies together with their colleagues, will have the opportunity to have fun and socialize in a joyful and appreciated environment.<\/p>\n

The Battle takes place in Djurg\u00e5rdsbrunnsviken, at the National Maritime Museum. You choose one of the days that you want to participate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
