In 1993, the Blodomloppet was founded, a race that has grown from two races and a thousand participants to Sweden’s largest exercise race. Today, 20 races are held in 19 Swedish cities and roughly 100,000 participants.<\/h2>\n

On 13-14 June, it is time again for this year\u2019s Blodomloppet<\/a>, which will be held on Djurg\u00e5rden. But what is the point of the race? Well, the purpose of the race is to raise awareness and to demonstrate the need for blood donation and to promote a healthy lifestyle. The proceeds of the race will go back to the youth activities of the organizing associations and to promoting the importance of blood donation.<\/h2>\n

About the race
\n<\/strong>The start and finish of Blodomloppet is around the Djurg\u00e5rdsbrunn inn. The first start is at 4:30 pm but already hours before, participants will arrive at the event area. The event is expected to end around 9 pm. Participants will run or walk 5 km or 10 km according to the route below.<\/p>\n

TRAFFIC INFORMATION\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

During these two days there will be some limited traffic, so we recommend that you take extra care in planning your trip.<\/p>\n

There will be restrict access on the Manilla Road from the junction of Kakn\u00e4sv\u00e4gen\/Manilla Road between 4 pm and 9 pm. There will be a driving ban for participants.<\/p>\n

Hunduddsv\u00e4gen will also have a parking ban and restricted access for participants between 6 pm – 7.30 pm.<\/p>\n

Blockhusringen limited access between 4 pm – 7.30 pm.<\/p>\n

Bus line 67 will turn at Waldemarsudde between 4 pm – 9 pm on these days.<\/p>\n

Bus line 69 will turn at Kakn\u00e4stornet between 4 pm – 9 pm on these days.<\/p>\n
