Adidas Stockholm Marathon is one of Europe’s largest marathon races, and on June 1st, we welcome all runners to Royal Djurg\u00e5rden, which is part of the course.<\/h2>\n

Stockholm Marathon is not just a day for the runners but a city-wide celebration, including Djurg\u00e5rden. Many visitors come to cheer on the runners, and the atmosphere is always vibrant. If you plan to visit us during Stockholm Marathon, there are a few things to keep in mind to make your trip here easier. Here are some tips for getting here smoothly on June 1st.<\/h2>\n

TRAFFIC INFORMATION JUNE 1<\/h1>\n

Marathon Runners on Djurg\u00e5rden<\/strong>
\nThe runners will be on Djurg\u00e5rden from approximately 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Click here<\/a> to see the course map with detailed traffic information.<\/p>\n

Road Closures<\/strong>
\nThe roads at Djurg\u00e5rden will be closed from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The roads around Djurg\u00e5rden (Strandv\u00e4gen, Narvav\u00e4gen and others) will be closed from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

Take the boat to Djurg\u00e5rden<\/strong>
\nA great way to get to Djurg\u00e5rden is by boat. With an SL ticket, you can take line 80<\/strong> and 82 \u00a0<\/strong>(The Djurg\u00e5rden Ferry), which stops at Allm\u00e4nna Gr\u00e4nd, right outside Gr\u00f6na Lund.\u00a0Line 82<\/strong> operates with increased service between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. You can find the timetable at sl.se.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition to SL’s boats, you can also travel with M\/S Emelie<\/strong>, which takes you to Djurg\u00e5rden from Hammarby Sj\u00f6stad and Masthamnen. See the timetable here.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Hop-on-Hop-off boats stops at two locations at Djurg\u00e5rden: behind the Vasa Museum and at Allm\u00e4nna Gr\u00e4nd outside Gr\u00f6na Lund. For more information on tickets and schedules, visit Stromma<\/a><\/strong> or Red Sightseeing.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Take the Metro here\u00a0<\/strong>
\nThe Metro\u00a0will also be running as usual, making it very convenient to travel from central Stockholm. Take the red line 13 to the nearest metro station, Karlaplan. From Karlaplan, you can easily walk to Djurg\u00e5rden, a walk of about 10 minutes. It is also possible to take the red lines 13 and 14 to \u00d6stermalmstorg metro station and then walk along the beautiful Strandv\u00e4gen to Djurg\u00e5rden, a stroll you won’t regret.<\/p>\n

On the metro’s Red Line, long trains and extra departures will be running throughout the Stockholm Marathon.<\/p>\n

Bus traffic is affected between approximately 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM.<\/strong>
\nThe bus lines affected that pass via Djurg\u00e5rdsbron\/on Djurg\u00e5rden are lines 67, 69<\/strong>\u00a0and 76.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The tram service on Tram line 7<\/strong> that runs between T-Centralen and Waldemarsudde is suspended between approximately 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. Read more on SL.se<\/a> and plan your trip to Djurg\u00e5rden in advance.<\/p>\n
