Rooted in both ancient folklore and Christian tradition, Lucia has become one of the country\u2019s most beloved cultural events symbolizing hope, light, and community during the darkest time of year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"429\">Beyond the candles and songs, Lucia carries a deeper meaning for many. The first Lucia procession at Skansen was held as early as 1893! The concerts are approximately 25 minutes long.
