Apples have a special place in Djurg\u00e5rden\u2019s history. More than 120 of Sweden\u2019s 240 known apple varieties can be found here, many growing on trees that date back to the 19th century. During the Apple Festival, you can discover this unique apple heritage through flavours, stories, guided tours and activities.<\/p>\n
At Rosendals Tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd, the historic orchard takes centre stage during Rosendal\u2019s Apple Weekend, 25\u201327 September. At the Nordic Museum, you can have apples from your own garden identified, while the Spritmuseum celebrates Swedish cider producers with Cider Sunday. At Skansen, apples are part of the traditional Autumn Market, and restaurants and caf\u00e9s across Djurg\u00e5rden will be serving apple-inspired menus, pastries and freshly pressed juice.<\/p>\n
There is plenty for younger visitors too.
