Vibrant. Learning. Healing. Connected. Join us on a journey along the pathways of knowledge, starting at Campus Albano and continuing into the National City Park. What can we learn from the park about building a more sustainable society? Let’s Discover Albano.

For centuries, the park has been a mosaic of activities, institutions, and natural habitats, seemingly independent of one another. Yet, they are deeply connected—threads weaving between past and present, between people and nature. The National City Park is a hub of knowledge and dynamic learning. Over 20 years ago, a framework for studying cities as socio-ecological systems was established here, offering insights into the park’s role in an evolving Stockholm and guiding the search for more sustainable urban futures. One example of this is Campus Albano itself, where researchers, universities, interest groups, and experts collaborated to shape a vision of how a university campus can serve as a driving force for urban sustainability.

Join us and listen—you may find yourself seeing Stockholm in a whole new light.

The tour is led by Professor Erik Andersson (Stockholm and Helsinki Universities), Professor Stephan Barthel (University of Gävle), Professor Henrik Ernstson (KTH), and Maria Braaf, Property Manager at Akademiska Hus.
