HRH Prince Daniel will give the opening speech. In addition, a specially composed piece of music will be performed, the artist will be present and much more. The inauguration will take place at the work, see directions to the site here.

Cristina Iglesias

Cristina Iglesias, born in November 1956, lives and works in Madrid. She studied chemistry before training at Chelsea School of Art in London and is regarded as one of the most influential contemporary sculptors. Over more than four decades, Iglesias has developed an artistic language at the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and nature. Working in materials such as bronze, steel, glass, and water, she creates large-scale works that often relate to the history of a site.

Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation

The Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation was founded in 2019 and has presented a work of art every year since its inception, with the long-term goal of establishing a permanent world-class sculpture park in the Rosendal area on Royal Djurgården. Cristina Iglesias work Aurora Borealis Star Dome is the seventh work in the collection.
