Blowing Figures into Space

The installation Blowing Figures into Space by the Italian sculptor Davide Rivalta is a large-scale outdoor exhibition stretching through Stockholm from Mynttorget to Gärdet and Hagaparken.

The project comprises twelve monumental animal sculptures in bronze and aluminum, installed in some of Stockholm’s most symbolic locations, creating new perspectives on nature, power and coexistence.

The sculptures are placed directly on the ground, without pedestals, making them appear as if they have temporarily reclaimed the urban environment. Through this approach, Rivalta’s ambition is to make art accessible within the shared public realm and to promote dialogue and exchange across cultural and geographical boundaries.

The installation is promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Stockholm and the C.M. Lerici Foundation, with the support of the Royal Palaces, the Royal Djurgården Administration and the City of Stockholm.

Guided tours of the exhibition will be offered each month.
