Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde

Sweden's most beautiful art museum

Waldemarsudde was originally the home of Prince Eugen (1865-1947), and is now one of Sweden’s most highly visited art museums. Prince Eugen was one of the most accomplished landscape painters of his time and an important collector, mainly of Swedish art. The collections comprise around 7,000 works, and include paintings, sculpture and artefacts.

A selection of Prince Eugen’s own work is displayed throughout the year, while the museum also displays works from the collections and temporary exhibitions.

A beautiful park, glorious with its flowers and sculptures, surrounds the museum.
