Nordiska museet

500 years of Swedish history awaits

Nordiska museet (The Nordic Museum) hosts exhibitions in fashion, folk art, the Sami people, jewellery, Swedish interiors and traditions.

The museum mirrors the shape of a Nordic renaissance castle, and visiting the building itself is a memorable experience. Use our free audio guide and explore the museum and exhibitions at your own pace.

The museum’s restaurant serves food and Swedish fika, and at the museum shop you can find both modern and classic souvenirs and gifts for both old and young. The museum also has a playhouse for children built around an environment based on the 1890s.
