Love letter – Calligraphy workshop

Come and write a greeting to someone you love at the Maritime Museum on Valentine’s Day when they are visited by artist Karin Rosenquist-Schager!

For many centuries, the crew of long-distance voyages could only communicate home by means of letters and postcards. In the Maritime History Archive there are several love letters and Valentine’s cards from sailors of bygone days.

During Valentine’s Day we will show some unique Valentine’s cards from our collections. Afterwards there will be a workshop in modern calligraphy, together with the artist Karin Rosenquist-Schager, also known as Love STHLM. We’ll be in the Sjöhistoriska Café & Bar, so you can eat or drink something good in the meantime.

Invite your friends or date to a workshop you will never forget. Be inspired by the old Valentine’s cards and write your own beautiful love letters.
