For more than a decade visitors have enjoyed classic Swedish dishes and pastries in the beautiful surroundings at Blå Porten. A beloved establishment since 1916 when the restaurateur Agnar Meurling opened a summer restaurant with an Italian inspired garden. Blå Porten is nowadays open all year round, inviting you to enjoy classic cuisine and desserts in a unique and historical environment. A perfect place to try dishes such as poached salmon with dill mayonnaise, marinated carrots and French potato salad – a classic that’s been on the menu as long as we can remember. During winter we set the mood in the garden and serve Swedish Christmas food, which makes for quite the meal.
A hundred years of love does leave a trace and between 2018 and 2021 Blå Porten went through a careful restoration. After finally opening again in August, we could also introduce our brand new vegetarian restaurant Blå+, next door in Liljevalchs new building.
