On April 23, it’s finally time for Stockholm Culture Night 2022. This year, more cultural activities than ever will open their doors with free admission for all visitors, 18:00- 24:00.

At Royal Djurgården, you can experience a live concert at the Museum of Ethnography or spend an evening at the Abba Museum, where you get a unique chance to meet ABBA’s very own fashion designer Owe Sandström, who will showcase never-before-seen creations.

To give you an overview of everything that is happening at Djurgården, we have listed all the attractions from Djurgården who are participating during Stockholm Culture Night 2022.

Open house at the Nordic Museum

Experience painted masterpieces in the Paris of the North, a visual dream journey through the Nordic countries of travel posters, life in a changing Arctic and the history of children in the Time Vault. Restaurant and café all evening. The doors are open!

The Viking museum

During the night The Viking Museum opens its doors with free admission for all! See the museum’s new exhibitions and meet their Vikings. Don’t miss Ragnfrid’s Tale, an 11-minute journey inspired by the Viking Age!

The Vasa Museum

Enjoy Vasa and meet the experts and guides at the museum. Learn more about the 17th century – life and crafts back then, as well as Vasa’s history. Try weaving and loading a ship. Join a guided tour and enjoy food, drinks and music in Vasa’s company.

Guided tours at Thiels Gallery

Join us for an introductory tour of the vast art collection from the turn of the last century and see contemporary art in the exhibition A Home. The tours (approx. 20 min) start at 7, 8, 9 and 10 pm. The museum and Café Monika Ahlberg are also open for self-guided visits throughout the evening.

An evening under the surface at the Museum of Wrecks

At the bottom of the Baltic Sea lies a cultural treasure unique in the world. Come and dive into the exhibitions – meet marine archaeologists who will take us down below the surface of the Baltic Sea. The Museum and Wreck Café & Bar will be open all evening with festive features.

A unique evening at ABBA The Museum with Owe Sandström

ABBA The Museum invites you to a unique evening where you can meet ABBA’s designer Owe Sandström and visit the museum at the same time. Owe will be on hand to answer questions, sign products and showcase some never-before-seen creations.

Concert and talk at the Ethnographic Museum

Concert + artist talk with one of Sweden’s most exciting artists Sibille Attar, guided tours of the sustainability exhibition Human Nature, workshop in the creative workshop and food/drink/music in the museum restaurant Matmekka.

A major task at the Police Museum

The Police Museum invites you to a police game where you will have the chance to speed-date a police officer.
In the new exhibition you can see yourself in the different guises and uniforms of the police and find out: Which police officer are you?

Missions and quizzes at the Maritime Museum

What is the name of the main character in The Old Man and the Sea? Which ship was called The Golden clog? Do you know that we have small figures hidden on our ship models? Explore the museum and your own maritime knowledge in the Maritime Museum quiz walk.

Zero City at the Museum of Technology

This night, the city is visited by the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, which has put sound to the history of the 20th century Swedish technology – The solo piece FYR by Johannes Burström. There will also be some unexpected meetings with Imaginato.
