Borrow a Green Kayak this summer!
30/06/2024Paddle around in Djurgårdsbrunnsviken (Djurgården canal) while doing something good for the environment!
This summer, the Maritime Museum are doing a collaboration with Green Kayak, which offers kayaks for free of charge in exchange for picking up rubbish in the water.
Since 2017, thousands of people have paddled with Green Kayak in harbors, rivers and lakes. Including cities such as Stockholm, Copenhagen and Berlin. Together, over 80 tonnes of rubbish have been picked up from the water. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy the fresh air and discover Djurgården from the water while making a big contribution to the environment.
The kayaks are made for two people and are safe and stable for beginners. Life jackets and equipment including a trash can are included. All plastic and rubbish you collect will be sorted and weighed after the tour.
So take the opportunity to take a trip on the beautiful Djurgårdsbrunnsviken during the summer and combine making an effort for the environment while having a fun time.
