The National Museum of Science and Technology open in the evening

Recently, the government announced the happy news that the restrictions will cease to apply at the end of September. Therefore the National Museum of Science and Technology has decided to extend their opening hours, from October 1 the museum will be open in the evening until 22.00. In addition, the museum is getting ready for fall with a full program.

The National Museum of Science and Technology is a favorite among families with children, and for parents as well as kids, it’s perhaps even more exciting to know that the lighter restrictions now enables a long list of fun activities, just in time for fall’s storms and rainy weather.

There’s also good news for the people leaving the kids at home to take their friends out for an evening at the museum. The National Museum of Science and Technology will offer three tours each night. The space exhibition Moving to Mars from the Design Museum in London, the alarming Canadian photo exhibition Antropocen on how we will always affect our planet, and Hyper human, which explores human symbiosis with technology, these are three exhibition which has been greatly appreciated by the adult audience. The museum’s restaurant Tekniska by Pontus is open for food and drinks.

– With opening hours in the evening, we want to give as many people as possible the chance to experienceThe National Museum of Science and Technology, also in a situation where technology plays an increasingly important role for our common future. It feels important, says museum director Peter Skogh.

Among the highlights of the fall are for example the celebration of Astronomy’s day and night – with board game night and “Space Bar”, Lego competitions in First Lego League and activities along with the game education Future Games. Fall break will turn into research break where several well-known researchers are invited together with the Young Academy of Sweden and Fri Tanke publishing house who recently released their book “Forskardrömmar”.
