Nordic Museum’s Birthday Party

Nordiska Museet is opening it’s doors wide to celebrate it’s 152nd anniversary and highlight the museum’s long-standing development of this historic building. Designed by architect Isac Gustaf Clason, this architectural masterpiece has welcomed visitors since 1907 and remains one of Stockholm’s most iconic landmarks.

On the museum’s birthday, visitors are invited to explore the museum like never before. Special guided tours will take you through the exhibitions, around the building, and even behind the scenes. The celebration also includes an architecture lecture, engaging discussions, and live entertainment. DJs and live artists from the club The Last Sesh will perform in the museum’s grand central hall—a space originally designed for public festivities.

This unique event is a rare opportunity to experience the museum in a festive atmosphere while discovering the history, architecture, and cultural treasures that make Nordiska Museet a cornerstone of Stockholm’s heritage.
