Royal djurgården is alive even into the later hours and is the perfect place for a dinner or evening drink. Whether it’s after a museum visit, before a show, a date or maybe just a little luxury in everyday life. Here you will find a great range of tastes, innovation, environments and experiences. These are some of our tips on restaurants that you just have to try.

Spritmuseum

Many come to Djurgården to have a drink with friends or maybe even a date. In the summer there will be an AW at sunset and during the colder seasons there will be a glass before enjoying a show at Cirkus arena. Professionals on drinks is of course Sweden’s tastiest museum – Spirit Museum. Try the staff’s own cocktails, Swedish wines, craft beer or a fresh cider. At Spritmuseum you can also have your own little tasting with their tasting trays with Swedish classics, schnapps, absolute vodka, beer or anything else that strikes your fancy.

Hasselbacken

The enchanting venue mixed with tasty drinks makes Hasselbacken a perfect place to meet over a cocktail. Here you can sit for a long time and try their classics, very own specials or just a good glass of wine. Keep an eye out or their calander and match your visit with their DJ nights!

Restaurant Djurgårdsbron

During the summer season, the given choice is the island’s sunniest patio – Djurgårdsbron. Here you can sip on fresh drinks in the warm evening sun. At Djurgårdsbron, it’s not just sun that’s on offer, here there’s also live music, an outdoor cinema and a festival in the summer. They are open as long as the sun and the guests are out.

Aira

Even in the evening, Djurgården is full of life and has several dinner options before you go to a concert, after a museum visit or just want to treat yourself to a festive dinner. Did you know that we have award-winning restaurants here on the island? Aira was recently awarded another Michelin star and continues to serve world-class food with chefs Tommy Myllymäki and Pi Le at the helm. A dining experience of the highest quality.

Wärdshuset Ulla Winbladh

Classic Ulla Winbladh started as a steam bakery back in the 19th century and has later been transformed into the restaurant we know today. Ulla Winbladh has preserved Swedish cuisine and become one of Stockholmers’ most loved restaurants. A classic menu that is visited by themed weeks and food events.

Konsthallen

If you are looking for the best the sea has to offer, then Konsthallen has the dinner for you. Seafood stew, oysters, roe chips or their tasty toast skagen. Of course they have other goodies such as risotto or baked steak. With a stone’s throw distance from the theater at Cirkus, concerts at Gröna Lund or sing-alongs and jazz at Skansen, it is the perfect restaurant to combine your evening pleasures with. Art, seafood, shop and bakery in a perfect mix.

Slipen

Slipen doesn’t just open early in the morning for breakfast, here they close at 11 p.m, which means you’re always welcome, regardless of the time of day. Slipen’s menu offers everything from steak to gnocci and other classics, but also an incredible range of desserts. With its sunny large windows, tasteful decor, good food and vintage boats hanging from the ceiling, you’ll never want to leave.

Villa Godthem

The Swedish classic Villa Godthem has a rich history and is located right by the canal. A unique wholesaler’s villa in Swiss style from the late 19th century serving food that is constantly evolving but always keeps the warmth and love. Try their well-known plank steak, grilled red deer, toast skagen or perhaps a sweet apple strudel.

Tyrol

Restaurant Tyrol inside Gröna Lund is not just any old restaurant, it is also a restaurant full of life and one of a kind experiences. Here you can celebrate the popular German Oktoberfest with beer, music, dancing and German delicacies. During 2024, the popular dinner show Mamma Mia the party will also run at Tyrol. A Greek oasis, interactive characters and ABBA’s iconic music.

Gröna Lund’s restaurants

Gröna Lund’s concerts are world-class and the entire summer lineup is filled with Swedish icons as well as international superstars. On the small stage, they have also packed the summer with dance evenings, dance bands and salsa. Inside the area, there are of course several restaurants and bars where you can recharge your batteries before the evening.

Skansen

At the Solliden stage, there are performances all year round. Concerts, national day celebrations, Lucia, jazz Wednesdays, the New Year’s countdown and of course Sing-along at Skansen. Right opposite the stage you will find Restaurant solliden/terassen where you can either have dinner before the show or even during the show with a perfect view over the stage.

Gubbhyllan

At cozy Gubbhyllan you can also prepare the evening with a good dinner. But you can also stay at Gubbyllan all evening as they have cozy jazz evenings, sometimes even in the winter. Nothing beats a dinner in front of live music.

Circus restaurant

The restaurant inside Cirkus Arena is a playful kitchen and is a restaurant for everyone.  In combination with the shows at Cirkus, you can actually book a special show menu with the ticket, perfect way to start the evening. Of course, the regular bar is also open where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly or their creative cocktails.

The Vasa Museum’s restaurant

Several of the museums at the Royal Djurgården are open in the evening, which means you can have dinner in combination with a museum visit. The Vasa Museum is open until 8 in the evening on Wednesdays, which means that their restaurant is also open. The perfect combination of food and culture.

Mackverket – Vrak

Buy a combo ticket to Vasa and Vrak, they are both open in the evening on Wednesdays until 8 and are only a stone’s throw from each other. At Mackverket, you can enjoy tasty sandwiches with creative flavors in fresh sourdough bread that suit everyone. Dive pub and other wonderful evening activities are also held here.

The prince’s kitchen

Treat yourself to an evening of art at Waldemarsudde, which is open until 8 on Thursdays. In the Prince’s kitchen, you can eat classics such as cod fillet or Prince’s meatballs. Here, too, there are plenty of evening activities such as creating & toasting, lectures and concerts, so keep an eye on their event calendar.
