Daily lunch at Djurgården

A lunch deal where the meals vary daily or weekly and often also include salad, bread and coffee or tea. Here at Royal Djurgården, you will find lots of restaurants that have lunch of the day. Café Monika Ahlberg
At the far end of Blockhusudden you will find Café Monika Ahlberg. The café/restaurant is run by food creator Monika Ahlberg, who serves everything with extra love. Here you can choose between the soup of the day, the special of the day or the salad of the day. Of course, a good coffee is also recommended for lunch.
Lilla Hasselbacken
In the heart of Djurgården you will find the historic Lilla Hasselbacken where there are several lunch options from Monday to Friday. The restaurant offers the meat of the day, the fish of the day and the vegetarian of the week. Their menu of the day includes salad, butter & bread, drink, coffee or tea and cookie.
Nordiska musset’s restaurant
At Nordiska musset’s restaurant, you can always choose from at least 4 dishes in their lunch offer of the day. Taste Swedish home cooking with a twist in the grand hall. Here it is important to keep an eye on the event calendar as you can eat your meal in combination with knitting-aw, nordic jojk or a lecture.
Restaurant Djurgårdsbron
One of the most popular lunches is found right when you arrive on the island, restaurant Djurgårdsbron. Here they have a new dish every day, Monday-Friday, which also includes salad, bread and coffee along with the meal. It can vary between Swedish classics and more international dishes. Mondays-Fridays you can also choose from their weekly menu which has: pizza of the week, fish of the week and vegetarian of the week. Something for everyone!
Restaurang Eld
At Restaurang Eld, which is inside The Viking Museum, the menu of the day varies according to ingredients and season. The chefs buy the freshest and tastiest ingredients and then make dishes based on their purchases that are available until they run out. A sustainable and environmentally friendly way of working with the daily lunch concept. Here, the dishes are inspired by Nordic and Arctic flavors with Viking Age references.
Restaurant at Spritmuseum
The restaurant at Spritmuseum has received a lot of attention, and is rightly so. Drinks and Scandinavian flavors take center stage here. Their lunch of the day runs Monday-Friday and offers a brand new dish every day. In addition to that, you can also choose their vegetarian of the week option.
Rosendal’s Garden
Rosendal’s Garden also bases its varied dishes on the season. Their ingredients are of course picked from their very own gardens, which means that it is fresh, sustainable and above all bursting with flavours. The garden lunches vary each week and provide several reasons for a return visit.
During the summer, they also open up their outdoor kitchen – Herbaruim. Here, too, they pick the ingredients from the garden and then see what dishes they can create. A tasty experience of a rarely seen kind.
Sjöhistoriska café & bar
In the museum restaurant, you can have lunch at the cozy Sjöhistoriska café & bar. The inviting and warm room during the cold seasons or the sunny outdoor terrace overlooking the canal are the perfect places to enjoy the restaurant’s weekly lunch. A new dish every week which also includes salad and bread.
Skroten café & skeppshandel
At cozy Skroten café & skeppshandel, you can choose between the dish of the day, the fish of the week or the vegetarian of the week. A varied menu where everyone will find something suitable, also one of the cheapest on the island. Did you know that it is also possible to buy lunch to take away? Perfect if you want to eat it at work or perhaps in one of Djurgårdens sunny green parks.
Slipen
All food tastes extra good in front of sunny windows, but Slipen’s weekly menu hardly needs any extra help. At Slipen you can choose between fish, salad, pasta or other good dishes that happen to be available on the week you choose to visit. The best thing is that Slipen also has the cake of the day and various desserts, perfect for when you just want to treat yourself to something extra sweet after lunch.
The Vasa Museum’s restaurant
The Vasa Museum’s restaurant also has the daily lunch on its weekly menu. You can choose between the dish of the day, Vasa’s vegetarian, the soup of the day or the salad of the day. At the Vasa Museum’s restaurant, you can also enjoy festive meals such as an Easter plate or Christmas lunch.
