The Prince’s kitchen

The Prince’s kitchen, situated in the Mansion, is where Prince Eugen’s lunches and dinners were once prepared. With its special and pleasant environment, it has become a very popular restaurant. Good food, pastries and coffee are served here.

Slipen

Out on Djurgården, close to Skansen and Gröna Lund, you’ll find Slipen. Right next to the water, we serve our own interpretation of Swedish cooking, uncomplicated dishes made with the best raw materials. Here you can stop for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

The décor, with maritime elements such as hanging rowing boats from the ceiling and, not least, the large windows, is reminiscent of the restaurant’s location at Saltsjön. During the warmer months, the outdoor seating area opens with a view of Beckholmssundet and Nacka strand. Come by land or by boat from Slussen, Nacka or Ropsten.

At lunchtime, you can choose between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes of the day, while the evening menu is classic bistro style with starters, main courses and desserts. At weekends, it’s time for brunch with both classic brunch dishes and lunch dishes.

Behind the restaurant are the founders of the bakery chain Fabrique, Lotta and David Zetterström. Here, they want to offer a comprehensive concept in food, bread and drink with generous opening hours all year round. In addition to the restaurant, there is also a chambre séparée, bakery and café.

Here they serve everything from new vegetarian favourites to home-made traditional food – including the children’s classics meatballs and pancakes! They use what raw products are in season, which means enjoying asparagus in May and chanterelles in the autumn. They are a sustainable restaurant in all sorts of ways and work actively towards making conscious choices. Local ingredients, certified organic, waste sorting and different ways of reducing waste are all a part of our philosophy. And they make really excellent food, of course!

Museum of Spirits Restaurant

With creative flavors combined with quality drinks, it is perfectly set up for an incredible dining experience. A varied menu makes every visit unique and you will never get tierd of the atmosphere. Here, of course, the drink is one of the highlights with unique cocktails, craft beer and the perfect wine to go with your food. Here you can also order a sample tray where you can test new flavors and immerse yourself in different varieties and techniques. Maybe try four types of beer and find a new favorite in the beer sample tray or taste what the Swedish market is all about in the swede-tray?

In the summer, the restaurant moves out to its Brygga & Berså where you can have lunch with a glass in the sun and an incredible view of Wasa harbour. Experience flavors from their garden in the outdoor kitchen or from around the country in the beer festival.

The restaurant in Spritmuseum is a magical environment and the perfect party venue. Birthdays, kick-off or whatever you have in front of you, it’s a perfect place to hang out. Good drinks, good food and a good atmosphere are all you need for your next party.

Skroten Matbod & Deli

One day we scrap boats, the other day we cook applesauce from the trees on Hammersta and pick newly laid eggs out on Muskö. In between, we keep in order everything from shackles, tows to fishing net in order. In 2007, Josefin Arrhenborg and Maria Rindstam started Sweden´s first boat scrap facility, then we bought a boat parts store, in 2012 we opened the doors to Skroten Café & skeppshandel at Nya Djurgårdsvarvet and in 2023 Skroten Matbod och Deli on Djurgårdslätten. Skroten Matbod & Deli is an extension of Skroten café & skeppshandel, here we make it possible to get good and well-prepared food, buy the evening’s dinner with you home or settle down with a glass of wine and a charcuterie board. We focus on locally grown, homemade and an environment where you always feel welcome.

We love the archipelago, recycling, interior design and food.

The kitchen explores classic flavors and the menu includes dishes such as chevre chaud, sandwiches and Arthur’s shrimp sandwich with eggs and hand-peeled shrimp. Every day, three dishes of the day are offered: salad, soup and today’s hot dish. The coffee menu offers classic pastries such as éclair, cookies and delicious cakes, while the drink list include cold beers, classic wines and French ciders.

Blå Porten

For more than a decade visitors have enjoyed classic Swedish dishes and pastries in the beautiful surroundings at Blå Porten. A beloved establishment since 1916 when the restaurateur Agnar Meurling opened a summer restaurant with an Italian inspired garden. Blå Porten is nowadays open all year round, inviting you to enjoy classic cuisine and desserts in a unique and historical environment. A perfect place to try dishes such as poached salmon with dill mayonnaise, marinated carrots and French potato salad – a classic that’s been on the menu as long as we can remember. During winter we set the mood in the garden and serve Swedish Christmas food, which makes for quite the meal.

A hundred years of love does leave a trace and between 2018 and 2021 Blå Porten went through a careful restoration. After finally opening again in August, we could also introduce our brand new vegetarian restaurant Blå+, next door in Liljevalchs new building. If you’re planning a big party, wedding or event we can gladly host you at Blå Porten. We look forward to seeing you!
