Karl X Gustav’s Equestrian statue
In front of the entrance of the Nordic museums stands an equestrian statue of to Charles X Gustav whom were king of Sweden between 1654 and 1660. It is one of ten classical equestrian statues in Sweden. Charles X Gustav is mostly famous for the March across the Belts as well as the Treaty of Roskilde which ended the Second Northern War between Sweden and Denmark-Norway.

The Glacial Erratic at Blockhusudden
Glacial erratics are large rocks that have been transported by ice. It is believed that most of the glacial erratics in Sweden were transported during the most recent ice age. A building of timber and stone known as a “blockhus” was erected here during Gustav Vasa’s reign in the 16th century to protect the approach to Stockholm, giving the point its name.
